Three choices that shape the result.

The board

Solid wood, plywood and finished MDF produce different results. Appearance, weight, edges and intended use guide the choice.

Grain and direction

Consider the grain along a letter, across panel joints and through a repeated pattern. Natural material is not perfectly uniform.

Edges and finish

An exposed edge can become a design feature or receive a separate finish. Approve a sample showing both the face and the edge.

BEYOND THE PHOTOGRAPH

A finish for everyday use.

The board and finish determine cleaning and moisture suitability. Flag locations near entrances, windows or frequently cleaned areas at the outset.

Before approval, review the sample, dimensions and fixing method together. The photograph illustrates the direction; the agreed specification defines your project.
